Install

  1. Open VS Code → Extensions panel.
  2. Click the ⋯ menu → Install from VSIX… and pick the downloaded file.
  3. Reload VS Code when prompted.

Activate your license

  1. Open the Command Palette (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P).
  2. Run “PreAI: Activate License” and paste your key from License & Download.
  3. Paid features unlock immediately; each device uses one seat.

Air-gapped? Use “PreAI: Import Offline License” with a .lic file (request one from support).

Stay up to date

One rule when updating: update — don’t uninstall. When you’re notified of a new build, download the new .vsix and Install from VSIX over the current version. It updates in place, so your settings, license key and team connection are all kept. Uninstalling is the only action that clears them — so never uninstall to update.

The extension checks automatically. To pin the check at your own endpoint (or disable it for air-gapped installs), set in VS Code settings:

System requirements: VS Code 1.85+. Works offline; no telemetry from the analysis.
